Adam Cohen, Director of Photography
Adam Cohen is a New York City born filmmaker and visual artist. His work revolves around the theme of cities and time, is rooted in street photography, intimate and direct in its approach, yet concerned with larger questions about the essential nature of documentation. He has directed, shot, and edited pieces which have been exhibited at numerous venues around the world including The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Brooklyn Museum of Art in New York; and the Rotterdam Film Festival, the London Film Festival, and the New York Film Festival. His work has been broadcast by WDR in Germany and PBS in the United States. As a filmmaker he is the recipient of grants from the New York State Council on the Arts, the Jerome Foundation, the New York Foundation for the Arts, and the Creative Capital Foundation.
