Kim's films have screened internationally at numerous festivals and museums, from Sundance to the Guggenheim of New York, Vegas, and Bilbao. Her work has received the Silver Hugo from the Chicago International Film Festival and the Directors Citation from Thomas Edison's Black Maria Film Festival. She has received multiple grants from both the Film Arts Foundation and the Jerome Foundation, and is a MacDowell Colony Fellow. Kim is currently writing a narrative non-fiction book on the life of 1920s motorcycle daredevil Lillian La France--"The Girl Who Flirts with Death!"
